한국의 이명박 대통령 당선자의 주가조작 등 범죄혐의의 진상 규명을 위한 특검법이 26일 국무회의에서 통과됐습니다.
한국의 노무현 대통령은 다음달 초 혐의 수사를 위한 특별검사를 임명할 예정입니다.
이로써 이명박 당선자는 한국 대통령 당선자로서는 처음으로 형사법 위반 혐의로 조사를 받게됩니다.
한국 국회는 이 당선자에 대한 의혹과 관련된 새로운 동영상이 발견되자 지난 주 대통령 선거가 실시되기 이틀 전에 특검법을 실시하기로 결정했습니다.
하지만 이 보다 앞서 검찰은 이 당선자가 BBK라는 벤처 기업을 이용해 주가를 조작했다는 혐의에 대해 무혐의 판정을 내린 바 있습니다.

South Korea's cabinet has approved a bill calling for a probe of fraud allegations against President-elect Lee Myung-bak -- one week after Mr. Lee won a landslide election victory.
Government sources say the cabinet approved the parliamentary measure during a meeting today (Wednesday).
South Korea's President Roh Moo-hyun will name an independent counsel early next month to investigate the allegations.
Mr. Lee will be South Korea's first president-elect to face a criminal investigation.
Two days before last week's election, South Korea's parliament voted to appoint a special counsel to investigate fraud allegations against Mr. Lee after new evidence surfaced.
South Korean prosecutors had earlier cleared Mr. Lee of charges that he profited by using that business venture to manipulate stock prices.
