백악관은 이날 부시 대통령이 이날 레셉 타입 에르도간 터키 총리, 블라디미르 푸틴 러시아 대통령과 전화통화를 갖고, 현안문제에 관해 논의했다고 밝혔습니다.

President Bush spent Christmas Eve calling world leaders and members of the U.S. armed forces serving overseas.
The White House says Mr. Bush spoke with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin today (Monday).
The president also telephoned 10 members of the military to wish them a merry Christmas and thank them for their military service.
He spoke to servicemembers in Iraq, as well as an Army staff sergeant in Afghanistan, and Navy and Coast Guard personnel in the Persian Gulf and in the Bering Sea.
President Bush is spending the Christmas holiday with his family at the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland. They travel Wednesday to Texas to usher in the new year at the president's ranch.
