이라크에서 3명의 미군 조종사가 사망했다고 2일, 미군이 밝혔습니다.
미군은, 이들 3명의 미군 조종사들이 지난 1일 바그다드 북쪽 발라드 공군기지 부근에서 벌어진 무장세력과의 전투에서 사망했다고 말했습니다.
이에 앞서 폴란드 국방부는 이라크에서 폴란드군 한 명이 도로변폭탄 폭발로 사망해 지난 2003년 이라크 침공 후 폴란드 군의 사망자수가 모두 22명으로 늘었다고 밝혔습니다.
알렉산더 스즈치글로 국방장관은 2일, 바르샤바에서 가진 기자회견에서 디와니야에서 일어난 폭발로 또 다른 3명의 폴란드 군이 부상했다고 말했습니다.
이달 중에 새 폴란드 총리로 취임할 것으로 예상되는 도날드 터스크 의원은 지난 달 31일, 내년에 이라크에서 900명의 폴란드 군을 철수하게 되기를 바란다고 밝힌 것으로 인용, 보도됐습니다.

The U.S. military says three U.S. airmen have been killed in Iraq.
The military says the three died near Balad Air Base, north of Baghdad, during combat operations Thursday. A military statement did not provide information on how the three died.
Hours earlier, the Polish Defense Ministry said a Polish soldier was killed by a roadside bomb, bringing to 22 the number of Polish troops killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003.
Defense Minister Aleksander Szczyglo told a news conference in Warsaw that three other soldiers were wounded, including one seriously, in the blast today (Friday) in Diwaniyah.
Donald Tusk, who is expected to become Poland's prime minister later this month, was quoted in an interview Wednesday saying he wants to pull Poland's 900 troops out of Iraq next year.
In other news, the U.S. military says it killed 10 terrorists and detained one suspect in an operation in Salman Pak targeting al-Qaida networks.
