북한은 핵 시설 불능화 대가로 약속된 경제지원 가운데 절반을 에너지 관련 장비와 다른 품목으로 받기로 동의했습니다.
이같은 합의는 30일 판문점에서 열린 제3차 경제 에너지 협력 실무회의에서 타결됐습니다. 북한에게는 북핵 합의의 일환으로 중유 1백만 톤 상당의 에너지 지원이 약속됐습니다.
한국의 임성남 북핵외교기획단장은 앞으로 8개월 동안 매달 5만 톤의 중유를 북한에 제공할 것이라고 말했습니다. 나머지 중유 50만 톤 상당의 지원은 비중유 형태로 이루어질 것입니다.
북한은 2.13 합의에 따라, 핵 시설을 폐쇄 봉인하고 핵 계획을 불능화 하는 대가로 에너지 지원과 함께 외교적 보상을 받게 됩니다.

North Korea has agreed to accept half of the economic aid it has been promised for disabling its nuclear reactor in the form of energy-related equipment and other items.
The agreement was reached today (Tuesday) during talks between North and South Korea at Panmunjom, a village on the border between the two Koreas. As part of its nuclear disarmament agreement, North Korea was promised about one million tons in fuel aid.
South Korea's chief negotiator Lim Sung-nam said the North will receive 50-thousand tons of fuel oil every month for the next eight months. The other half of the fuel aid will come in the form of non-oil items.
Under an agreement reached earlier this year, North Korea will receive fuel aid and diplomatic incentives in return for shutting down and disabling its nuclear weapons program.
