슬로바키아 정부는 아프카니스탄 파병 규모를 두배로 늘릴 계획입니다. 슬로바키아의 국방장관은 17일, 파병 규모가 2008년까지 111명으로 늘어날 것 이라고 밝혔습니다.
현재는 57명의 슬로카비아 출신 군사 기술자들이 아프카니스탄의 북대서양조약기구 연합군에 속해 있습니다.
슬로바키아 당국자들에 따르면, 파병 확대를 통해 35명의 군병력을 우르즈간 주에 주둔해 있는 네덜란드 군을 지원하기 위해 파병할 것입니다.

The Slovak government will nearly double its military forces serving in Afghanistan.
Slovakia's defense minister announced the plan today (Wednesday), saying the number of Slovak troops will increase to 111 in 2008.
The country currently has 57 military engineers serving with NATO forces in Afghanistan.
Slovak officials say 35 soldiers will be deployed to reinforce Dutch troops in the province of Uruzgan in 2008, as part of the proposed increase.
Slovakia also will boost its force in Kosovo, adding two helicopters and more soldiers.
The plan still needs to be approved by Slovakia's parliament.
