카시미르를 방문하는 페르베즈 무샤라프 파키스탄 대통령을 호위하던 헬리콥터 한 대가 추락해 4명이 숨지고 5명이 다쳤습니다.
파키스탄 군 대변인 와히드 아르샤드 소장은 이 호위 헬리콥터는 8일, 파키스탄령 카시미르의 수도인 무자파라바드 남쪽 18킬로미터 지점에서 추락했으나, 사고 당시 무샤라프 대통령은 이미 목적지에 도착해 있었고, 무사하다고 말했습니다.
아르샤드 소장은 이번 헬기 추락은 기술적인 결함에 의한 것으로 보인다며 격추설을 일축했습니다. 목격자들은 이 헬리콥터가 지상에 추락해 폭발하기 직전에 몇사람이 헬기에서 뛰어내렸다고 전했습니다.
사망자중에는 파키스탄 군 준장 한 명과 두 명의 병사, 파키스탄 국영텔레비전 사진기자 한 명이 들어있습니다.

A helicopter escorting Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf on a visit to Kashmir has crashed, killing four people and injuring at least five others.
Army spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad says General Musharraf had already reached his destination and was not hurt.
The escort helicopter crashed (Monday) about 18 kilometers south of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistani Kashmir.
Arshad blamed the crash on technical difficulties, ruling out an attack. Witnesses say several people jumped from the helicopter before it hit the ground and burst into flames.
The dead included a brigadier, two soldiers, and a camerman for Pakistan's state-run television.
Arshad said the president's spokesman, Major General Rashid Qureshi, was injured in the crash, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
