타이완의 수도 타이베이(臺北)를 출발해 일본 오키니와로 향했던 중화항공 소속 보잉 737기가 20일 오전 일본 오키나와(沖繩)현 나하(那覇)공항에 착륙 직후 발생한 화재로 거의 전소됐습니다.
공항 관리들은 157명의 탑승객과 8명의 승무원 전원이 무사히 여객기를 탈출했지만 1명 정도가 부상했다고 밝혔습니다.
화재 발생 후 공항 당국은 긴급 진화작업을 벌여 40여분만에 가까스로 불길을 잡았으나 기체는 거의 전소됐습니다.
관리들은 보잉 737 여객기의 왼쪽 날개 밑에 있는 엔진에서 화재가 발생했다고 말했지만, 화재의 원인은 아직 밝혀지지 않고 있습니다. 관계 당국은 테러 가능성도 배제하지 않고 있습니다.
