일본의 한 관리는 다로 아소 외무장관이 오는 15일 팔레스타인에 대한 2천만달러 상당의 경제 원조 계획을 발표할 것이라고 말했습니다.
일본은 이 자금이 팔레스타인 정부 건설과 인도적 목적으로 사용되기를 희망하고 있습니다.
이에 앞서 일본은 지난해 3월 극렬 조직인 압바스가 권력을 잡자 팔레스타인에 대한 경제원조를 중단했습니다.

Japan says it will resume direct aid to the Palestinian Authority after cutting off assistance to the former Hamas-led government for more than a year.
A Japanese official says Foreign Minister Taro Aso will unveil a 20-million dollar aid package to the new Fatah-led government of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday.
The money will be used for Palestinian institution building and to provide humanitarian assistance to the impoverished Gaza Strip.
Aso will make the announcement in the West Bank town of Jericho, where he will meet with Palestinian and Israeli officials for talks on reviving the Palestinian economy.
Japan stopped direct aid to the Palestinians after Hamas came to power in March 2006. Mr. Abbas formed a government without Hamas after the militant group took control of Gaza in June in fighting with Fatah loyalists.
