석달 전 가자지구에서 영국 BBC 방송 기자 한 명을 납치했다고 주장한 팔레스타인의 한 과격 단체는 이 기자를 석방하기 위한 합의가 이루어졌다는 보도들을 일축했습니다.
팔레스타인 과격 단체 이슬람군 (Army of Islam) 대변인은 17일 수감자 교환을 위한 자신들의 요구가 관철되지 않을 경우 알란 존스톤 기자를 살해할 것이라고 위협했습니다.
이 단체는 BBC 방송 기자를 석방하는 대가로 알카에다와 연계된 것으로 의심되는 회교 과격 성직자 아부 카타다 알 필리스티니와 다른 수감자들을 석방할 것을 요구해 왔습니다.
앞서 17일 하마스 관계관들은 존스톤 기자의 납치범들과 접촉했으며 그가 곧 석방될 수 있을 것이라고 말했습니다.
존스톤 기자는 지난 3월 12일 가자 시티에서 납치됐습니다.

A Palestinian group claiming to have kidnapped a BBC journalist three months ago in Gaza has denied reports that it struck a deal to release him.
A spokesman for Army of Islam today (Sunday) threatened the life of Alan Johnston if the group's demand for a prisoner exchange is not met.
The group has demanded that Britain release a radical Islamic cleric suspected of having links to al-Qaida, Abu Qatada al Filistini, and other prisoners.
Earlier today, Hamas officials said they made contact with Johnston's kidnappers and that he could be released soon.
Johnston was kidnapped on March 12th in Gaza City.
