소형 목선을 탄 만취상태의 북한사람 2명이 2일 한국해역에서 발견돼 군 당국이 조사 뒤 북한으로 돌려보냈다고 한국 합동참모본부가 밝혔습니다.
합동참모본부는 2일 새벽 2시쯤 북방한계선에서 4킬로미터 정도 남하한 연평도 해상에서 북한 목선 1척을 발견해 인천항으로 예인했다고 밝혔습니다.
한국당국은 길이 5 미터 정도의 이 선박에는 술에 만취된 북한 사람 2명이 타고 있었으며 이들을 조사한 뒤 2일 오후 6시쯤 북한으로 되돌려 보냈다고 말했습니다.
한국의 연합뉴스는 합동참모본부 관계자들의 말을 인용해 이들이 기관 고장으로 표류했으며 북한으로 돌아가길 희망했다고 전했습니다.

South Korea's military says a small wooden boat carrying two drunken North Korean men has drifted across the de-facto inter-Korean sea border into South Korean waters.
Authorities said today (Saturday) that the boat was found four kilometers south of the inter-Korean maritime border, and the North Korean men have been taken to the nearby port of Incheon.
South Korean officials say they will take steps to repatriate them following an investigation.
The two Koreas are technically still at war because the 1950-1953 war ended in a cease-fire rather than a peace treaty.
