A little-known Palestinian group has released a videotape of BBC reporter Alan Johnston, who has been held captive for more than two months.
The video posted on the Internet today (Friday) showed Johnston as saying "my captors have treated me very well."
It was the first time Johnston was seen or heard from since his abduction on March 12th.
It was not clear when the video was made. It was issued by the Army of Islam group, which claimed responsibility for kidnapping the journalist.
The group also repeated its demand that Britain release Muslim prisoners, including radical Islamic cleric Abu Qatada.
Johnston was the only Western reporter permanently based in the Gaza Strip at the time of his abduction.
