미국은 북한이 2.13 합의에 따른 북한 핵시설 폐쇄 시한인 14일을 넘긴채 약속을 이행하지 않은 것에 실망했다고 미국의 북핵6자회담 수석대표, 크리스토퍼 힐 국무차관보가 말했습니다.
베이징을 방문중인 힐 차관보는 15일, 미국은 북한에게 다음 단계의 조치를 이행할때가 됐다는 것과 국제 핵사찰 요원들의 북한 복귀를 허용할 것을 통보했다면서 이같이 말했습니다.
힐 차관보는 또 미국은 마카우 은행 북한계좌의 자금이 동결해제 됐으며 은행측은 북한 자금의 인출에 대비하고 있음을 명백히 밝혔다면서 북한이 어째서 북한자금 2천5백만 달러를 인출하지 않았는지 불분명하다고 말했습니다.
한편,힐 차관보는 하루 전인 14일, 중국의 우다웨이 외교부 부부장관 회담을 마친뒤 북한의 시한내 약속을 이행하지 않은 것에 대해 미국과 중국은 인내하면서 북한이 어떤 행동을 취할른지 며칠 동안 기다려 보기로 합의했다고 밝혔습니다.
북한은 마카우 은행 북한계좌의 동결자금이 해제될때까지 아무런 조치도 이행하지 않을 것이라고 말해왔습니다.

The top U.S. envoy to North Korean nuclear talks says Washington is not happy Pyongyang failed to uphold its pledge to begin closing its main nuclear facility by Saturday.
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said in Beijing today (Sunday) that the United States has told North Korea it is time for it to take the next step and and allow United Nations nuclear inspectors back into the country.
Hill said the U.S. also made it clear that North Korean assets that had been frozen in a Macau bank are now ready to be claimed. He said it is unclear why North Korea has not taken the 25 million dollars.
North Korea has said it will only comply with the February agreement if the funds are released.
