27일 이라크에서 일어난 일련의 폭탄공격으로 60여명이 사망했다고 이라크 관계자들이 밝혔습니다.
이날 최악의 폭력사태인, 북부의 탈 아파르에서 일어난 2건의 차량폭탄 공격으로 48명이 숨지고 100여명이 다쳤습니다. 이 보다 몇시간 전에는 한 자살폭탄 공격범이 라마디 시 외곽에서 자폭해 10명이 사망하고 25명이 부상했습니다.
미군은 이날 오전에 900여명의 이라크 인들을 살해하고 거의 2천여 명을 부상시킨 것으로 보이는 차량폭탄 공격조직의 지도자 2명을 체포했다고 밝혔습니다.
한편 이라크의 누리 알-말리키 총리와 잘랄 탈라바니 대통령은 사담 후세인의 전 바트당 당원들이 정부와 보안기관에서 활동하는 것을 용이하게 하기 위한 법안을 제출했습니다. 바람 살리 부총리는 이 조치가 국민화합을 위해 필요하다고 밝혔습니다.
이 법안은 내각과 의회에서 승인을 받아야 합니다.

Iraqi officials say bombing attacks have killed nearly 60 people today (Tuesday).
In the worst violence, a double car bomb attack killed at least 48 people and wounded more than 100 in the northern town of Tal Afar. Hours earlier, a suicide bomber killed 10 people and wounded 25 outside the city of Ramadi.
Earlier in the day, the U.S. military announced the capture of two alleged leaders of a car bomb network believed responsible for killing about 900 Iraqis.
On the political front, Iraq's prime minister and president have introduced legislation to make it easter for former members of Saddam Hussein's Baath party to resume working in government and security positions. Deputy Prime Minister Barham Salih said the measure is necessary for national reconciliation. The cabinet and parliament still must approve the legislation.
