석유수출국, OPEC 회원국들은 14일 앞으로 아마도 현 산유량을 그대로 유지할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
리비아의 고위 석유 관계자와 함께 나이지리아와 쿠웨이트 석유장관들은 오는 15일 오스트리아 수도 빈에서 열리는 석유수출국회의에 앞서 산유량을 줄일 이유가 없다고 말했습니다.
OPEC는 세계 석유 공급의 40% 이상을 통제하고 있습니다. OPEC는 지난해 12월 총회에서 유가가 배럴당 60달러선에서 안정될 수 있도록 산유량을 감축하기로 합의했었습니다.
한편 미국의 에너지부는 이날 일부 미국 정유회사들의 문제들 때문에 휘발유 재고가 5주 연속 줄고 있지만, 원유 재고는 늘고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

Members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries say the group probably will maintain its current oil production targets.
Oil ministers from Nigeria and Kuwait, as well as a senior Libyan oil official, today (Wednesday) said they see no reason for OPEC to make output cutbacks ahead of a production policy meeting in Vienna Thursday.
OPEC controls more than 40 percent of the world's oil supplies. At talks in October and December, the group agreed to cut oil supplies to control prices that have remained mostly stable at around 60 dollars a barrel.
In Washington today (Wednesday), the Department of Energy said U.S. crude oil stockpiles grew last week, while gasoline inventories declined for the fifth week in a row because of problems at several American refineries.
