이스라엘이 동결된 팔레스타인 지원용 징세 기금중 1억 달러를 마흐무드 압바스 팔레스타인 자치정부 수반의 계좌로 송금했다고 밝혔습니다.
이스라엘 관리들은 19일 전달된 이 돈이 압바스 수반의 보안군을 위해 쓰여질 것이라고 말했습니다. 일부 언론은 이 기금이 또한 인도주의 활동 명목으로 쓰여질 것이라고 전했습니다.
이스라엘은 그동안 팔레스타인 당국을 대신해 세금을 징수해 왔습니다.

Israel has transferred 100 million dollars in frozen Palestinian tax funds to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Israeli officials said the money handed over today (Friday) will go toward Mr. Abbas' security force. Media reports say the funds are also designated for humanitarian efforts.
Israel collects the taxes on behalf of the Palestinian Authority. But it suspended money transfers after Hamas was elected to power in the Palestinian territories a year ago. The Islamic militant group refuses to recognize Israel and renounce violence.
Meanwhile, Israeli media are reporting that Defense Minister Amir Peretz has ordered an indefinite freeze on plans for a new settlement in the occupied West Bank.
There was no immediate official confirmation of the reports.
Last month, Israel faced strong international criticism when it announced new settlement construction to house Jewish settlers evacuated from the Gaza Strip, when Israel pulled out of the territory in 2005.
