많은 나라들이 후세인 전 대통령의 교수형 동영상이 유포된 후 이라크 당국의 후세인 처형 방식을 비난했습니다.
이집트의 호스니 무바라크 대통령은 회교도들의 주요 절기에 단행된 후세인에 대한 교수형은 그를 순교자로 돌변시켰다고 말했습니다.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has threatened to review relations with any country that criticized his government's execution of deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
Mr. Maliki said today (Saturday) in Baghdad that Saddam received a fair trial, and his death by hanging is a domestic matter.
A number of countries have criticized how execution was handled. On Friday, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said hanging Saddam on a major Muslim holiday (Eid al-Adha) has turned him into a martyr.
An unauthorized video of the execution shows several Iraqis among the witnesses and hooded executioners taunting Saddam as he is about to be hanged. The grainy video also shows the hanging and Saddam's body dangling from the gallows.
An official video shown on Iraqi television did not have sound, and stopped before the actual hanging.
