Indonesian authorities say 177 people have been pulled from the Java Sea after a ferry carrying more than 600 passengers capsized.
The government says 66 bodies have been recovered, and more than 400 people remain missing.
Navy ships and fishing boats have been deployed to look for the missing, but high waves have been hampering search efforts today (Sunday) .
The ferry (the Senopati Nusantara) sank just after midnight Saturday as it was sailing from Kumai in Central Kalimantan province to Semarang in Central Java.
Indonesian officials say the ship, with a capacity of about 800 passengers, was in good condition and attribute the accident to stormy weather.
