태국 중앙은행은 18일 외국의 자본 유입으로 올들어 미국 달러화대비 바트화의 가치가 14퍼센트 이상 폭등함에 따라 이를 억제하기 위한 일련의 조치들을 발표했습니다.
바트화의 가치 절상은 해외시장에서 태국의 수출 경쟁력을 떨어지게 하고 있습니다.
태국 중앙은행은 각 은행들에 ,신규 외환 예치금이 2만달러이상일경우, 이중 30퍼센트를 일년간 묶어둘 것을 지시했습니다.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has again threatened retaliation if the U.N. Security Council imposes sanctions because of Tehran's nuclear program.
In a speech today (Tuesday -- in the Western Iranian city of Kermanshah), Mr. Ahmadinejad warned Britain, France and Germany that Iran will consider their support for U.N. sanctions as "an act of hostility." But he did not say how Iran would retaliate.
The three European countries have drafted a sanctions resolution for the Security Council to consider. But key Council member Russia opposes much of the sanctions package.
On Monday, the United States said Iran is striving to build a nuclear weapon and wants the U.N. Security Council to vote on sanctions in a matter of days.
A U.S. State Department spokesman (Sean McCormack) said Tehran has sought outside help and set up an elaborate collection of front companies aimed at getting around regulations preventing it from obtaining the needed materials.
