이라크 수도 바그다드에서 무장괴한들이 두 시아파 회교도 가정에 침입해 아홉명을 살해했다고 이라크 당국자들이 밝혔습니다.
이라크 경찰은 10일 바그다드 남서부 지하드 동네의 한 가옥에 무장괴한들이 침입해 형제 다섯명을 총격살해했다고 말했습니다. 함께 있던 여자 가족들은 무사했습니다.
또한 같은 동네 다른 집에도 무장괴한들이 침입해 한 남자와 그의 아들 세 명을 살해했습니다. 이들 무장괴한들이 같은 단체 소속인지 여부와 공격당한 두 가정이 관계가 있는지는 아직 알려지지 않았습니다.
또한 10일 인근 알-아밀 구역에서 시아파 과격분자들과 수니파 아랍 부족 사이에 충돌이 발생해 세 명이 다쳤습니다.
한편 이라크 주둔 연합군은 바그다드 북부 수니파 아랍인 구역인 아다미야에서 종파간 폭력과 폭도들의 활동을 줄이기 위한 작전에 들어갔다고 이라크 주둔 미군이 밝혔습니다.

Iraqi officials say gunmen have stormed into the homes of two Shi'ite families in Baghdad, killing nine people.
Police say attackers broke into a home in the southwestern Jihad neighborhood today (Sunday) and shot dead five brothers after separating them from their sisters. The women were not harmed.
In another incident, gunmen entered a house in the same area and killed a man and his three sons.
It was not known if the attackers were from the same group or if the two families were related.
Clashes were also reported today between Shi'ite militiamen and a Sunni Arab tribe in the nearby al-Amil neighborhood. At least three people were wounded.
The U.S. military in Iraq says coalition forces began an operation in Baghdad's northern Sunni Arab district of Adhamiyah today in a bid to reduce sectarian violence and insurgent activities.
