후진타오 중국 국가주석은 23일 4일간의 파키스탄 방문 일정을 시작하고 양국의 경제협력 확대 방안에 관해 논의 합니다.
후진타오 주석은 24일 파키스탄의 수도 이슬라마바드에서 페르베즈 무샤라프 대통령을 만나고 25일에는 동부 라호르 시에서 파키스탄의 업계 지도자들을 만날 예정입니다. 후 주석은 이번 방문기간 중 파키스탄의 핵 에너지 프로그램에 원조를 제공하는 데 논의의 촛점을 맞출 것으로 예상됩니다.
중국은 이미 파키스탄에 두 개의 핵발전소 건설을 도왔습니다. 중국 정상으로는 10년 만에 처음으로 파키스탄을 방문하는 후진타오 주석은 파키스탄을 방문하기에 앞서 4일간 인도를 방문해 양국의 무역을 증진하기로 공약한 바 있습니다.

Chinese President Hu Jintao is in Pakistan for a four-day visit aimed at expanding economic ties between the two countries.
Mr. Hu is to meet Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad Friday and head to the eastern city of Lahore on Saturday to meet with business leaders.
The talks during his visit are also expected to focus on help for Pakistan's nuclear energy program. China has already helped build two nuclear power stations in Pakistan.
Mr. Hu's visit marks the first by a Chinese leader to the country in 10 years.
It follows the Chinese president's four-day-trip to India which ended today (Thursday) . China and India pledged to boost trade and work out decades-old border disputes. During his visit, Mr. Hu also said Beijing welcomes improving relations between nuclear rivals India and Pakistan.
