이라크 전역에서 19일 저항분자들이 50명을 살해하고 그 나라 보건부 차관을 납치해갔다고 이라크 치안관계관들이 밝혔습니다.
관계관은 무장 괴한들이 아마르 알-사파르 보건부 차관을 바그다드에 있는 자택에서 납치했다고 전했습니다.
그보다 몇시간 전에는 자살폭탄공격으로 시아파들이 주로 거주하는 힐라 마을에서 22명이 사망했습니다. 청부업자로 위장한 이 공격범은 근로자들이 일자리를 구하기 위해 그의 차량 부근으로 몰리자 자폭했습니다.
또다른 공격으로 바그다드 시내 주로 시아파가 거주하는 지역에 있는 버스 정류소에서 3차례의 폭탄 폭발로 5명이 사망했습니다.
한편 시리아의 왈리드 알-무알렘 외무장관이 바그다드를 방문하고 있습니다. 지난 2003년 사담 후세인이 축출된 이후 시리아의 그같은 고위급 관리가 이라크를 방문하기는 이번이 처음입니다.

Iraqi security officials say insurgents killed 50 people across the country today (Sunday) and kidnapped the country's deputy health minister.
Officials say gunmen abducted Ammar al-Saffar from his home in Baghdad.
Hours earlier, a suicide bomber killed 22 people in the mainly Shi'ite town of Hillah. The bomber posed as a contractor and set off his explosives when a crowd of day laborers looking for work gathered around his vehicle.
Other attacks today included a triple explosion at a bus station in a largely Shi'ite area of Baghdad that killed five people.
Meanwhile, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem is in Baghdad for the first visit by such a high-ranking Syrian official since the ouster of Saddam Hussein in 2003.
