이라크 수도 바그다드에서 16일 아침 여러 공격 사건이 발생해 최소한 열다섯명이 숨졌다고 이라크 경찰이 밝혔습니다.
바그다드 동부의 자유나 구역의 한 제과점에서 무장괴한들이 총격을 가해 아홉명이 숨지고 두명이 다쳤습니다.
또한 바그다드 주변에서도 공격 사건이 발생해 경찰관 두 명을 포함해 여섯명이 숨졌습니다.
지난 몇주동안 이라크 주둔 미군과 이라크 군이 유혈사태를 종식시키기 위해 노력하는 가운데 수백명이 종파간 폭력과 무장분자들의 공격으로 희생됐습니다.
이라크 고등교육부의 바실 알하티브 대변인은 지난 14일에 바그다드의 정부청사에서 수십명을 납치한 납치범들이 일부 인질들을 고문하고 살해했다고 말했습니다.
이 대변인은 지난 이틀동안에 풀려난 70명의 인질들 가운데 일부가 이같이 증언했다고 말했습니다.
아직까지 정확히 몇명이 납치됐는지는 확실하지 않습니다.
한편 미군은 바그다드 남부의 유수피야 마을인근에서 벌인 작전도중 연합군이 테러분자로 추정되는 아홉명을 살해하고 다른 아홉명을 구금했다고 말했습니다.
미군은 또한 지난 14일과 15일 바그다드와 디얄라 주에서 전투 도중 미군 병사 네명이 숨졌다고 발표했습니다.

Iraqi police say at least 15 people were killed in separate attacks in Baghdad today(Thursday).
In the deadliest incident, nine people were killed and two others wounded when gunmen opened fire on a bakery in a religiously mixed district (Zayouna) of eastern Baghdad. Six people, including two policemen, were killed in other attacks around the Iraqi capital.
Hundreds of people have been killed in sectarian violence and insurgent attacks in Baghdad in recent weeks as U.S. and Iraqi forces struggle to stem the bloodshed.
Meanwhile, a spokesman (Basil al-Khatib) for Iraq's Higher Education Ministry says kidnappers who seized scores of people from a government building in Baghdad Tuesday have tortured and killed some of their hostages.
The spokesman cited testimony from several of the 70 hostages who were freed over the past two days.
The exact number of people kidnapped is not known. And, Shi'ite militiamen are suspected to have carried out the mass abduction.
