이슬람 과격단체 헤즈볼라는 국제적 테러리즘 연합체라고 미국 백악관이 지적했습니다.
미 백악관의 토니 스노우 대변인은 11일, 헤즈볼라를 이같이 지적하면서 이란은 테러리즘에 대한 주도적 후원국으로서 수 많은 무고한 민간인 살해에 대한 책임이 있다고 강조했습니다.
스노우 대변인은 또 이란이 헤즈볼라에게 재정 및 군사적 지원을 제공함으로써 헤즈볼라가 전세계에 걸쳐 폭력을 부추기고 있다고 규탄했습니다.
미국은 이보다 앞서 11월초에 이란과 시리아, 헤즈볼라가 레바논 정부의 전복을 계획하고 있다고 비난했습니다.

The White House has called Iran and the Islamic militant group Hezbollah a "global nexus of terrorism."
In a statement Saturday, White House spokesman Tony Snow said Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism and is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians. He said Iran's financial and military support for Hezbollah has allowed the group to support violence throughout the world.
Earlier this month, the United States also accused Iran, Syria and Hezbollah of planning to topple Lebanon's government.
