한국노총 산하 회원 1만5천 명이 참가한 가운데 평화적으로 펼쳐진 자유무역협상 반대시위에서 노동단체들은 자유무역협상에 대한 장기적인 반대운동을 지지하기 위해 오는 15일,반나절 총파업을 단행할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
한국의 노동단체들과 농민들은 한-미 자유무역 협정이 체결되면 미국산 상품들이 싼값으로 한국 시장에 공급돼 그들의 생계가 무너질 것으로 우려하고 있습니다.

Seoul, the South Korean capital, is the scene today (Sunday) of mass demonstrations by workers demanding an end to free-trade talks with the United States.
At least 15 thousand members of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions took part in the protests, which remained peaceful.
The unions say they will stage a half-day general strike on Wednesday to support their long-running campaign to halt the trade talks.
Unionists and farmers are concerned a trade deal between South Korea and the U.S. will flood local markets with cheap imports, destroying their livelihoods.
