이라크 내무부는 이날 바그다드의 한 광장에서 2대의 차량 밑에 숨겨져 있던 폭탄들이 원격조종에 의해 폭발해 20여명이 부상했다고 밝혔습니다.
이날 오전 이라크 중부 바빌 주 주도인 힐라의 미국 대사관 지방 사무소 부근에 10발의 박격포 포탄이 떨어져 폭발했으나. 인명 피해는 없는 것으로 알려졌습니다.
한편, 이라크 주둔 미군은 3주 전에 무장세력에 납치된 한명의 미군 병사 구출에 최고 5만 달러의 현상금을 내걸었다고 밝혔습니다. 이 병사는 바그다드에서 그의 가족을 면회하러 가다가 납치됐습니다.
연합군 관계관들은 10일에 도로변 폭탄공격으로 슬로바키아 군 한 명과 또 다른 폴랜드 군 한명이 사망했다고 발표했습니다.

Two car bombs have exploded in a busy market area in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killing at least eight people.
Iraq's interior ministry says 20 or more people were wounded by the bombs, which were hidden beneath two cars at a square (Hafidh al-Qadhi) in Baghdad.
South of the capital, Iraqi police say about 10 mortar rounds exploded near the U.S. representative's office in Hilla. No casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military in Iraq says Washington is offering a reward of up to 50-thousand dollars for information leading to the recovery of an American soldier abducted nearly three weeks ago. The soldier was kidnapped while visiting his family in Baghdad.
And coalition officials announced the deaths of a Slovak soldier and another from Poland in a roadside bomb attack on Friday.
