양측은 다음주 베트남 하노이에서 열리는 아시아태평양경제협력체 회의에서 합의문에 공식 서명할 예정이라고 10일 모스코바에서 밝혔습니다.
러시아는 지난 수년간 WTO 가입을 희망했으나, 미국은 이를 승인하지 않았었습니다.
러시아 정부는 지난 7월 미국의 합의를 얻어내려고 했으나, 러시아의 미국 육류 수입에 대한 이견 차이로 실패했었습니다.

U.S. and Russian officials say they have agreed in principle on an accord that paves the way for Russia to join the World Trade Organization.
The sides say agreement came today (Friday) in Moscow. It is expected to lead to a formal signing of the document on the sidelines of Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperative summit next week in Hanoi.
Despite years of trying to win membership, Russia is the only major world economy that does not belong to the W.T.O. The United States is the last major power that needed to reach agreement with Russia before it could gain membership.
Moscow had hoped to sign a deal with the United States in July. But the agreement was postponed because of disagreements over Russian imports of U.S. meat products and what Washington called a lack of intellectual property rights protection in Russia.
