인도우주조사기구는 7일 유인 우주선 발사 계획을 승인했다고 발표했습니다. 우주조사기구는 인도 남부 뱅갈로어에서 열린 회의에서 과학자들이 인도의 유인 우주선 계획을 추진할 시기가 왔다는 데 만장일치로 찬성했다고 밝혔습니다.
유인 우주선 계획은 향후 인도 정부의 예산 승인을 받아야 합니다.
우주조사기구 대변인은 이 날 회의에서 2020년 달에 우주인을 보내는 계획도 함께 논의됐다고 말했습니다. 인도는 내년에 첫 무인 우주선을 달에 보낼 계획입니다.

India's top scientists have approved an ambitious plan to undertake the country's first indigenous manned space exploration within the next decade.
The Indian Research Space Organization says the scientists today (Tuesday) agreed on a proposal to send an astronaut into space by 2014.
The agency says the scientists, meeting in the southern technology hub of Bangalore, were unanimous in suggesting that the time is right for such a mission.
The proposal has to be presented to India's government for approval and funding.
A spokesman for the space agency said the scientists also discussed a manned mission to the Moon by 2020.
