이스라엘이 가자지구 북부에서 이틀째 과격단체에 대한 대규모 공격작전을 단행하는 가운데 최소한 네 명의 팔레스타인인들이 살해됐다고 팔레스타인 응급의료진이 전했습니다.
사망자들 가운데 두 명은 과격분자들로 베이트 하노운 마을에서 이스라엘 군대와 전투를 벌이던 중 숨졌습니다.
또한 노인 한 명을 포함해 민간인 두명이 숨졌습니다. 이에 따라 1일 새벽 이스라엘군이 탱크와 헬기를 동원해 베이트 하노운 마을에 진입한 이후 이스라엘의 공격으로 숨진 팔레스타인인들의 수는 열두명으로 늘어났으며 이들 가운데 최소한 일곱명은 과격단체 단원들로 밝혀졌습니다.
또한 50여명이 부상했습니다.
이스라엘군은 베이트 하노운 마을에서 로켓탄을 이용해 이스라엘 남부를 공격하고있는 팔레스타인 과격분자들을 대상으로 이번 공격을 진행중이라고 말했습니다.
2일, 두 발의 로켓탄이 이스라엘을 향해 발사됐으나 사상자는 없는 것으로 알려졌습니다.

Palestinian medics say Israeli troops have killed at least four Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip on the second day of a major operation against militant groups.
Two of the dead were militants killed in fighting with Israeli troops in the town of Beit Hanoun. Palestinians say two civilians also were killed, including an elderly man.
The deaths raise the number of Palestinians killed to 12 since early Wednesday, when Israeli forces stormed into Beit Hanoun, backed by tanks and helicopters.
At least seven militants are among the dead, and more than 50 Palestinians have been wounded. Militants also killed one Israeli soldier Wednesday.
The Israeli military says it is targeting Palestinian militants who use the town to fire rockets into southern Israel. Two more rockets were fired across the border today (Thursday), but no casualties were reported.
