시라크 대통령은 2천여년 전에 건설된 한 무제의 묘를 방문하고 중국역사와 고고학자들의 노력에 감탄한다고 말했습니다.
시라크 대통령은 앞서 중국 중부 우한 시의 프조-시트로엥 자동차 공장 건설현장을 방문하고 주춧돌을 세웠습니다.
이 공장은 프랑스의 프조-시트로엥과 중국기업 동펑사가 합작으로 세우는 것으로 2009년부터 자동차 생산에 들어가는 것을 목표로 하고있습니다.
시라크 대통령은 26일, 에어버스 여객기 백50대를 백억달러에 중국에 판매하는 내용 등을 포함한 열세개항의 기업서명을 지켜봤습니다.
시라크 대통령은 또한 26일 후진타오 중국주석과 만나 북한과 이란 핵 문제를 논의했습니다.

French President Jacques Chirac has completed his four-day visit to China with a tour of archaeological sites in the historic city of Xian.
Mr. Chirac visited an ancient tomb built more than two-thousand years ago for an emperor of China's Han dynasty (Liu Qi). He expressed a strong admiration for Chinese history and the efforts of archaeologists.
Mr. Chirac earlier traveled to the central Chinese city of Wuhan to lay the foundation stone for a new Peugeot-Citroen auto factory. The plant is a joint venture with Chinese firm Dongfeng, and is expected to start producing cars in 2009.
In Beijing Thursday, the French president presided over the signing of 13 deals between French and Chinese businesses. The highlight was China's decision to buy 150 Airbus passenger jets, worth about 10 billion dollars.
