레바논 국회의장은 정치적 분열로 인한 긴장을 완화하기위해 국가화합을 위한 회담을 열자고 촉구했습니다.
나비흐 베리 의장은 25일, 다음주 월요일인 30일에 다른 정치단체 대표들과 회담하는 안을 고려하라고 정부 지도자들에게 촉구했습니다.
베리 의장은 이번 회담이 15일동안 계속될 수 있다며 화합정부 구성과 새 선거법에 촛점을 맞추게될 것이라고 말했습니다.
베리 의장은 이같은 안을 정부가 거부하면 가두시위가 벌어질 것이라고 경고했습니다.
레바논 의회의 다수의석을 차지하고있는 반 시리아 세력은 내각교체에 반대하고있습니다.
베리 의장은 게릴라 단체 헤즈볼라 지도자 하산 나스라야가 이번 회담에 대표를 파견할 예정이나 이스라엘의 암살위협 때문에 직접 참석하진않을 것이라고 말했습니다.

Lebanon's parliamentary speaker is calling for national unity talks to defuse tensions in the politically divided country.
Nabih Berri urged government leaders today (Wednesday) to consider sitting down with other political groups next Monday (October 30). Berri is a Shi'ite Muslim and ally of the Shi'ite militia group Hezbollah.
The speaker said talks could last up to 15 days and focus on forming a national unity government and a new election law.
He warned that the government's refusal could trigger street protests.
The anti-Syrian majority in Lebanon's parliament rejects any change in the cabinet.
Berri said Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah would send a representative to the talks, but not personally attend due to possible assassination threats from Israel.
