에드문드 다우코루 OPEC 의장겸 나이지리아 석유 장관은 , 이 같은 조치는 다음달초 부터 시행될 것이라고 말했습니다.
다우코루 의장은 오펙 11개 회원국들은 감산량 배분 방안에 관해서는 여전히 논의중이라고 말했습니다
다루코푸 의장은 또 하락하고 있는 유가문제를 논의하기 위해 12월로 예정되어 있는 정상회담전에 긴급 오펙 각료 회담을 가질지도 모른다고 말했습니다.

The president of the OPEC oil cartel says member nations have agreed to cut oil production by one million barrels a day, in a bid to boost oil prices.
OPEC president and Nigerian oil minister Edmund Daukoru says the production cut will take effect at the start of next month.
He says OPEC's 11 members are still working out how to share the production cut.
Daukoru has said OPEC may hold an emergency meeting before a scheduled December summit to discuss what to do about falling oil prices.
The price of U.S. crude oil price slipped below 58 dollars a barrel today (Wednesday) to reach a nearly eight-month low. Oil prices peaked at 78 dollars in mid-July.
