아프간 국방부는 탈레반 반군 5명이 현지 시각으로 7일 동부 파키카주에서 교전도중 살해됐다고 말했습니다. 아프간군과 미 연합군은 이 교전에서 탈레반 반군 1명을 생포했습니다.
한편 앞서7일 칸다하르 주에서는 무장괴한들이 도로 폭탄과 함께 총격을 가하며 나토군 순찰차량을 습격해 캐나다 병사 한 명이 사망했습니다.
또한 아프간 경찰은 7일 북부 한 외딴 지역에서 독일 언론인 2명을 살해한 무장괴한들을 수색하고 있습니다. 이들 독일 기자들은 마그란주에서 텐트를 설치하고 밤을 보내다가 괴한들로부터 총격을 받고 사망했습니다.

Afghanistan's government says Afghan and U.S.-led troops have killed five Taleban insurgents in the east of the country.
The Afghan Defense Ministry says the rebels were killed in a gun fight Saturday in the eastern province of Paktika. Afghan and coalition forces captured one insurgent.
In other fighting Saturday, a Canadian soldier was killed in Kandahar province when militants ambushed his patrol with a roadside bomb and gunfire.
Separately, Afghan police are searching for the gunmen who killed two German journalists early Saturday in a remote part of northern Afghanistan.
