네팔 정부가 지난 6월이후 교착상태에 빠져있던 마오쩌둥 공산 반군과의 평화 회담을 재개했습니다.
기리자 프라사드 코이라라 총리는 8일 수도 카트만두에 있는 총리 관저에서 집권 7개당 연정 지도자들과 반군 대표인 프라챤다가 참석한 가운데 평화회담을 열었습니다.
네팔 관리들은 반군이 포함된 임시 내각 구성의 승인을 받기 위한 임시 헌법 제정이 회담의 주요 의제가 될것이라고 말하고 있습니다.
네팔 정부는 또한 마오쩌둥 반군이 임시 정부에 참여하기 전에 무장 해제를 거듭 요구할 것으로 예상됩니다. 마오쩌둥 반군은 지금까지 그 같은 요구를 거절해 왔습니다.

Nepal's government has resumed peace talks with Maoist rebels for the first time since negotiations stalled in June.
Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala is hosting the talks today (Sunday) at his residence in the capital, Kathmandu. Leaders of Nepal's ruling seven-party alliance and rebel chief Prachanda are also attending the meeting.
Officials say the talks will focus on drafting an interim constitution that would authorize the creation of an interim Cabinet including rebel members.
The government is also expected to press the Maoists to surrender their weapons before joining an interim government, a demand the rebels have so far resisted.
