독일 북부에서 22일 고속 열차와 보수 차량이 충돌해 23명이 사망하고 10명이 부상하는 사고가 발생했습니다.
조사에 나선 독일 검찰은 23일, 자기부상 열차인 트란스라피트와 보수 차량이 동시에 같은 선로 위에 있었던 이유를 파악하기 위해 사고 현장인 독일 북부 라텐의 시험 운행 선로에 기술 전문가들을 파견했습니다.
자기부상 열차는 선로를 청소하고 있던 보수 차량과 충돌할 당시 시속 약 200킬로미터의 속도로 달리고 있었습니다.
검찰과 시험 운행 담당자들은 이번 사고는 통신 두절로 인해 발생한 인재일 가능성이 높다고 말하면서, 아직까지 자기부상 열차의 기술적 결함 때문이라는 증거는 없다고 덧붙였습니다.

German authorities are investigating a high-speed train crash Friday that killed 23 people and injured 10 others.
Prosecutors today (Saturday) sent technical experts to the test track in the northern town of Lathen where the accident occurred to find out why the Transrapid magnetic levitation train and a maintenance vehicle were on the track at the same time.
The train was traveling at a speed of nearly 200 kilometers per hour when it slammed into the maintenance vehicle, which was cleaning the track.
Prosecutors and officials of test track operator, I.A.B.G., say human error, possibly a breakdown in communication, is probably the cause of the accident. They say, so far, there is no evidence the train's technology failed.
