이라크 전역에서 저항분자들의 새로운 공격으로 최소한 18명이 사망했다고 이라크 경찰이 밝혔습니다.
수도 바그다드에서는 경찰 순찰차가 지나가던 중 차량폭탄이 폭발해 5명이 사망했습니다. 또 무장괴한들이 바그다드와 키르쿠크에서 각각 한 명씩 2명의 교사를 살해했습니다. 이밖에 바그다드 북부에서는 무장괴한들이 철공소 직원 등 일자리를 찾던 수 명을 살해했습니다.
이와 함께 경찰은 바그다드에서 눈을 가리운 채 머리에 총을 맞은 어린 소년의 시신을 발견했습니다. 이들 공격은 누리 알-말리키 총리가 이라크를 방문 중인 토니 블레어 영국 총리와 만난 지 하루만에 발생했습니다.

Iraqi police say insurgents have killed at least 18 people in a new wave of attacks across the country.
Among the most deadly attacks today (Tuesday) were a car bomb that killed five people in Baghdad as a police patrol passed by.
Gunmen also killed two school teachers - one in Baghdad and one in Kirkuk.
North of the capital, gunmen killed several people looking for work, including four blacksmiths.
And police in Baghdad found the body of a young boy, blindfolded and shot in the head.
The attacks come a day after Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki met Monday with visiting British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Mr. Maliki said Iraqi forces will take over security from foreign troops in most of the country by the end of this year.
