블라디미르 푸틴 러시아 대통령은 전세계의 복합적인 에너지안보체제를 개발하자고 제안하고 있습니다. 푸틴 대통령은 28일 발행된 미국 월스트리트 저널 신문에 실린 기고문에서 에너지이기주의로는 아무것도 이루어질 수 없다고 지적하면서 이같이 제안했습니다.
푸틴 대통령은 또한 소수의 최선진 국가군이 전적으로 주도하는 에너지 분배체제는 범세계적인 개발 목표와 목적을 달성할 수 없다고 비판했습니다.
푸틴 대통령은 이 같은 이유에서 국제사회의 이해와 민감한 관계에 있는 에너지안보체제 구축을 추진하는 것이라고 말했습니다.
푸틴 대통령은 이 같은 목적을 위해 세계주요8개국이 에너지 혁신, 에너지 절약, 환경보호 등을 추진하도록 촉구한다고 강조했습니다. 세계주요8개국 정상회의는 금년에 러시아에서 열립니다.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for development of a comprehensive worldwide system of energy security.
In an opinion piece published in today's (Tuesday's) Wall Street Journal newspaper, Mr. Putin said energy egotism is a road to nowhere.
Mr. Putin this year chairs the Group of Eight, the world's seven leading industrialized countries plus Russia, whose leaders meet annually to discuss global issues.
The Russian leader says energy distribution guided wholly by the priorities of a small group of the most-developed countries does not serve the goals and purposes of global development.
He says this is why he will strive to create an energy security system that is sensitive to the interests of the international community.
To this end, Mr. Putin is urging G-8 and non-G-8 countries to pursue energy innovations, energy savings and environmental protection.
