일본과 중국은 1일 도쿄에서 이틀 간 열린 에너지 관련 회담에서 아무런 합의도 이루지 못했습니다.
일본측은 중국에 대해 분쟁을 빚고 있는 동지나해 수역에서의 천연가스 시추 작업을 중단하도록 요청하는 한편 두 나라가 이 지역에서의 에너지 자원 개발을 위해 협력할 것을 제안했습니다.
중국 대표들은 이에 대해 다음달 열리는 회담에서 자국의 입장을 밝히겠다고 말했습니다.

Japan and China wrapped up two days of talks in Tokyo today (Saturday) with no agreement over an energy dispute.
During the talks, Japan called on China to stop its exploration of natural gas fields in a disputed part of the East China Sea. Tokyo also proposed the two countries should work together on future development of all resources in the area.
There was no sign the Chinese would agree to the Japanese requests, but Beijing's envoys said they would respond during the next round of talks later this month.
China says it has the right to drill for natural gas on its side of a dividing line between the two countries' territorial waters. Tokyo contends the drilling could tap resources that lie within Japan's offshore economic zone.
