미국의 우주 왕복선 디스커버리 호가 약 14일 간의 우주 비행을 마치고 미국 서부 캘리포니아 주에 착륙했습니다.
디스커버리 호는 미국 서부 현지시간으로 9일 새벽 5시 11분, 캘리포니아 주 모하비 사막에 있는 에드워즈 공군 기지에 무사히 착륙했습니다.
미 항공 우주국 나사 비행 통제관들은 디스커버리 호와 7명의 승무원들이 착륙에 앞서 지구 대기권으로 진입해 태평양을 횡단하는 동안 아무런 문제도 보고하지 않았습니다.

The space shuttle Discovery has landed in (the western U.S. state of) California after nearly 14 days in orbit.
Discovery made a trouble-free touchdown at Edwards Air Force Base in California's Mojave Desert at 1211 Universal time today (Tuesday).
Flight controllers reported no problems as the shuttle and its seven astronauts re-entered the Earth's atmosphere and crossed the Pacific Ocean prior to landing.
This was the first shuttle landing since the space shuttle Columbia disintegrated during re-entry in February, 2003.
NASA shifted the site for today's landing to California because of bad weather at the shuttle's home base of Kennedy Space Center in (the eastern U.S. state of) Florida.
During their two weeks in space, Discovery's astronauts made unprecedented in-flight repairs to the shuttle's heat shield and delivered supplies to the International Space Station.
