이라크의 수도 바그다드에서 약 2달 전에 납치됐던 루마니아 언론인 3명과 이라크인 안내원이 석방됐습니다.
자세한 소식은 즉각 알려지지 않았지만, 루마니아 대통령실에서 나온 22일의 성명은 기자들이 무사하며 조만간 귀국할 것이라고 밝히고 있습니다.
이 루마니아 기자들과 운전사는 지난 3월 28일에 납치됐으며, 납치범들은 루마니아가 4월 27일까지 이라크에 주둔하고 있는 소규모 군대를 철수하지 않으면 이들을 살해하겠다고 위협했었습니다. 루마니아의 트라이안 바세스쿠 대통령은 그 같은 요구를 거부했습니다.

Romania says three Romanian journalists and their Iraqi guide, kidnapped nearly two months in Baghdad, have been freed.
Details were not immediately clear. But a statement today (Sunday) from the Romanian presidency said the reporters are safe and will soon return home.
The reporters and driver were seized March 28th. The kidnappers threatened to kill them unless Romania withdrew its small military contingent from Iraq by April 27th. Romanian President Traian Basescu rejected the demand.
