Stick it out

Jen: What’s wrong?

Mike: Ugh! I don’t think I can continue to run my small business anymore. There are too many obstacles and I want to just give up.

Jen: Oh don’t say that! Think positive! Plus you’ll overcome all those obstacles and your business will succeed. Just stick it out and you won’t regret it.

Mike: You really think I can stick it out?

Jen: Yes! Absolutely!

제가 Mike에게 “What’s wrong? I don’t think I can continue to run my small business anymore. There are too many obstacles and I want to just give up. 그러자 제가 “Oh don’t say that! Think positive! Plus you’ll overcome all those obstacles and your business will succeed. Just stick it out and you won’t regret it. 이어 Mike가 “You really think I can stick it out? Absolutely! Keep today’s phrase ‘stick it out’ in mind and let’s hear the conversation again.

오늘 영어표현은 stick it out입니다. Stick it out means to endure something until the end and to continue to do something despite the difficulties. Let me give you some examples. “Sometimes, I don’t feel like exercising at the gym but I know I have to stick it out if I want to get a beautiful figure.” “In spite of many naysayers, Mindy didn’t give up and she stuck it out with her plans.” Now you know what it means to ‘stick it out’ right? Then we will listen to the conversation for the last time.
