Speak One’s Mind에서 Speak는 말하다, 이야기하다라는 뜻이고 Mind는 마음, 생각, 의향을 뜻합니다. 그러니까 Speak One’s Mind는마음에 있는 것을 분명히 말하다, 심중을 털어놓고 말하다라는 뜻이 되는데요 Speak One’s Mind의 One’s 대신에 My 또는 His를 써서Speak My Mind, Speak His Mind라고 하면 나의 생각을 말하다, 그의 생각을 말하다가 돼서 마음에 있는 것을 분명히 말하다, 심중을 털어놓고 말하다를 뜻합니다.
