이라크 주둔 미군당국은 미군 병사들이 바그다드의 한 장례식에서 60여명의 테러 용의자들을 체포했다고 밝혔습니다. 미군당국은 군인들이 11일 바그다드의 수니파 거점지역에서 이들 용의자를 체포했다고 밝혔습니다.
군당국은 체포된 용의자들은 바그다드 차량 폭발 사건들의 배후인 알 카에다 조직과 연계되어 있는 것으로 믿어진다고 말했습니다.
한편 바스라에서 12일 폭탄이 폭발해 적어도 2명이 사망했습니다. 또 바그다드 북부 바쿠바 지역에서는 무장괴한들이 경찰 총장을 살해했습니다. 무장괴한들은 또 11일, 쿠르드당의 한 사무실을 습격해 방화했습니다 경찰은 이 공격으로 경비원 한명이 부상했다고 말했습니다.

The U.S. military in Iraq says American troops have detained 60 suspected terrorists at a Baghdad funeral. It says the soldiers arrested the suspects Friday in a predominantly Sunni Arab neighborhood of Baghdad (Arab Jabour).
The military says the men are believed to be linked to an al-Qaida cell behind car bombings in Baghdad. Meanwhile, a bomb blast in Basra killed at least two people today (Saturday). And gunmen killed a police captain in Baquba, north of Baghdad. In other developments Friday, gunmen stormed an office of a Kurdish political party, setting it on fire.
Police say one guard was wounded in the attack Friday on the offices of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in the mainly Shi'ite town of Kut, southeast of Baghdad.
