South Korean opposition lawmakers have scuffled with security guards who tried to end the legislators' blockade of parliament.
Some Democratic Party lawmakers went to the hospital today (Saturday) after guards tried to forcibly evict them from the assembly's main chamber.
The lawmakers have been camped out there for more than a week to prevent the conservative Grand National Party party from pushing through about 80 reform bills.
Among the bills is a controversial free trade agreement with the United States, which the opposition says only helps the wealthy and big business.
The Democratic Party has called some of the other reforms "evil," saying they would would make it easier for the government to tap phones, consolidate media ownership and limit South Koreans' ability to post messages on the Internet.
