직원들은 공항 측이 연말 보너스를 취소한 데 항의해서, 이 날 3시간 동안 파업을 벌였습니다.
공항 직원들은 770달러에서 1천 달러 사이의 월급을 받으며 연말 보너스는 월 급여액과 동일하게 지급됐었습니다. 하지만 공항 측은 올해 96달러의 보너스만을 지급했습니다.
이 날 파업으로 수시편의 항공기 운항이 지연됐으며, 수하물 처리에도 차질이 있었습니다.
홍콩 국제공항은 아시아에서 가장 붐비는 공항 중 하나로, 지난해 4천7백만 명의 승객이 이용했습니다.

Ground crews staged a three hour strike today (Saturday), disrupting flights into and out of Hong Kong's international airport.
Workers launched the strike after Hong Kong Airport Services canceled their annual merit bonuses.
The workers make between 770 and one-thousand dollars a month and the bonuses are equal to roughly a month's salary. The company had instead offered a 96 dollar bonus.
The strike affected dozens of flights -- delaying departures or holding up deliveries of baggage from arriving flights.
Hong Kong's international airport is one of the busiest in Asia, handling more than 47 million passengers last year.
