바락 오바마 미국 대통령 당선자는 내년 1월20일 취임 직후 경제 재건을 위한 노력을 시작할 것이라고 8일 밝혔습니다.
오바마 당선자는 이 날 주례 라디오 연설에서 경제부양책이 신속하게 통과돼야 한다며 이같이 밝혔습니다. 오바마 당선자는 노동자 계층 가족들을 돕기 위한 계획을 신속하게 이행할 것을 약속했습니다.
오바마 당선자는 또 정부 지원을 받은 기업 담당자들이 과도한 지원을 받지 않았는지 확실히 하기 위해 금융업계에 대한 구제금융 대책을 평가하겠다고 밝혔습니다. 오바마 당선자는 또 청정 에너지 개발과 복지 개혁, 교육 개선 등도 추진하겠다고 약속했습니다.

U.S. President-elect Barack Obama says his administration will immediately begin efforts to restore the economy when he is sworn into office January 20th.
Mr. Obama said Saturday in his weekly radio address, an economic stimulus package should be passed as soon as possible. He promised to move swiftly on a plan that helps working-class families.
The next U.S. president also said his administration will evaluate the bailout of the financial industry to make sure managers of corporations that receive government help are not "unduly" rewarded.
He also promised to push ahead with developing clean energy, reforming healthcare, and improving education.
Mr. Obama warned that difficult choices will have to be made. But he said America will succeed if everyone sets partisanship aside and works together as one nation.
