세계에서 4번째의 경제 대국인 중국은 세계 금융 위기로부터 그 나라를 보호하고 내수를 확장하기 위한 5천 8백 60억 달러 상당의 경기 부양책을 발표했습니다.
중국 관영 언론은 9일 이 경기 부양책에는 사회기반시설과 사회복지, 교통망, 그 밖의 주택 건설 등에 대한 투자가 포함된다면서 자연 재해로 인한 피해지역들에서의 재건이 최우선 순위가 될 것이라고 보도했습니다.
이 언론은 중국 내각이 이번 주 원자바오 중국 총리가 참석한 한 회의에서 이 같은 경기 부양책을 승인했다고 덧붙였습니다.

China has announced a 586 billion-dollar stimulus package to boost domestic demand and protect the world's fourth largest economy from the global financial crisis.
State-run media said today (Sunday) the plan includes investing in infrastructure, social welfare, transportation networks and housing. It also prioritizes rebuilding areas hit by natural disasters.
The report said China's cabinet approved the stimulus package at a meeting attended by Premier Wen Jiabao this week.
The cabinet also reformed the way the value-added tax is calculated to cut companies' taxes by about 17-point-five billion dollars annually.
The statement did not say how the government will pay for the extra spending through 2010.
