경찰 총장인 혹 룬디 장군은 그가 탄 헬기가 9일 저녁 동남부 스베이 라엥 지역에서 추락할 당시 수도 프놈펜을 이륙해 가던 중이었으며 조종사 2명과 군 지휘관 1명도 함께 사망했다고 관계관들은 말했습니다.
이 헬기의 추락사고 원인은 확실치 않습니다.
룬디 장군은 훈센 총리 내부에서 가장 막강한 인물가운데 한 명으로 캄보디아 정계와 경찰 계에서 논란많은 인물이기도 합니다.
인권단체 '휴먼라이츠워치'와 프놈펜의 전 경찰국장은 정치적인 동기의 암살 사건들과 인신 매매, 마약 밀수 등에 룬디 장군이 연루됐다고 말하고 있습니다.

Cambodian government officials say the country's chief of police, a close ally of Prime Minister Hun Sen, has died in a helicopter crash along with three other people.
The officials said General Hok Lundy was traveling from the capital, Phnom Penh, when his helicopter crashed Sunday evening in southeastern Svay Rieng province.
Two pilots and a military commander were also reported killed in the crash. It is unclear what caused the helicopter to go down.
Hok Lundy was one of the most powerful people in the prime minister's inner circle, and a controversial figure in Cambodian politics and policing.
Human rights groups and Phnom Penh's former police chief (Heng Pov)have implicated him in politically motivated killings, human trafficking and drug smuggling.
