유럽연합의 하비에르 솔라나 외교정책 담당 대표는 이란의 핵계획을 둘러싼 남은 현안들을 해결하기 위해 이란이 유럽연합과 계속 협상할 것을 촉구했다고 이란 언론이 7일 보도했습니다.
이란 국영통신 ISNA는 솔라나 대표가 이란의 사이드 잘릴리 핵협상 대표에게 서한을 보내 이같이 요청했다고 전했습니다.
이 통신에 따르면, 이번 서한은 지난 달 잘릴리 대표가 보낸 서한에 대한 답신입니다. 잘릴리 대표는 당시 서한에서 서방권이 이란에 압력을 가하면서 핵협상을 훼손했다고 비난했습니다.
솔라나와 잘릴리 대표는 지난 8월 이란의 핵계획에 대해 논의했습니다.

Iranian media say the European Union's foreign policy chief is urging Iran to hold more talks with the bloc to clarify a few remaining issues about its nuclear program.
The Iranian Students News Agency, ISNA, says the EU's Javier Solana made the request in a letter to Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili.
ISNA says Solana's letter is in response to a letter last month in which Jalili complained that Western pressure on Iran has harmed talks about Iran's atomic activities.
Solana and Jalili last discussed Iran's nuclear program in August.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said his nation is convinced Iran is seeking nuclear weapons. He said Israel is not taking any option off the table, and recommended that other countries follow its lead.
