세계 주요 경제가 침체국면으로 향하고 있다는 경제지표가 나오고 원유 수요가 줄어들면서, 국제원유 가격이 떨어지고 있습니다.
선물 원유 가격은 3달러 떨어져, 6일 오전 뉴욕시장에서 1 배럴 당 62달러가 약간 넘게 거래됐습니다. 원유 가격은 지난 7월 최고를 기록한 이후 60 퍼센트 가량 떨어졌습니다.
이와 관련해 국제통화기금 IMF는 6일 보고서를 통해 유가의 계속되는 하락은 다른 원자재 가격의 변화와 관계가 있다고 지적했습니다. 보고서에서 국제통화기금은 2009년도 기본유가전망을 1 배럴 당 100달러에서 86달러로 낮췄습니다.

Crude oil prices are falling, as new economic data suggest the world's major economies may be headed for a recession, dampening demand.
The price of crude oil for future delivery fell three dollars, sinking to a bit over 62 dollars a barrel during early trading today (Thursday)in New York.
Oil prices have fallen almost 60-percent since hitting a record high in July.
The International Monetary Fund says the continuing decline is in line with what has been happening to the prices of other commodities. In a report issued today, the IMF lowered its 2009 baseline price projection for oil from 100 dollars to 68 dollars a barrel.
