태국과 캄보디아 총리가 국경 분쟁 지역에서 더 이상 무력 충돌을 일으키지 않기로 합의했습니다.
캄보디아의 훈센 총리와 태국의 솜차이 옹사왓 총리는 오늘 중국 베이징에서 열린 아시아 유럽 정상회의에서 별도로 만나 이같이 합의했습니다.
태국과 캄보디아 군은 11세기에 지어진 프레어 비헤아르 사원 인근 지역에서 지난 7월 중순부터 대치상태에 있습니다. 양측은 지난주 사원 인근에서 교전을 벌여 적어도 2명의 캄보디아 병사와 1명의 태국 병사가 숨졌습니다.
한편 두 나라 군 장성들이 오늘 캄보디아의 도시 시엠 리프에 모여 국경지역의 긴장을 완화할 방안을 논의했습니다.

prime ministers of Thailand and Cambodia have agreed not to engage in any more
violent clashes along their disputed border region.
Cambodia's Hun Sen and his Thai counterpart Somchai Wongsawat held talks today(Friday) in Beijing on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe leadership summit.
Thai and Cambodian troops have been engaged in a tense standoff near the
11th-century Preah Vihear temple since mid-July. The standoff turned deadly
last week, when a gunbattle broke out suddenly near the temple. At least two
Cambodian soldiers and one Thai soldier was killed.
Thai Foreign Minister Sompong Amornvivat says last week's shootout occurred
"instantly," and was "uncontrollable."
Meanwhile, military leaders from both sides met today in the Cambodian city of
Siem Reap in a further attempt to ease tensions along the border.
